SQL Profiling and Tuning | Stress Testing with DB Optimizer

A great note from our friend Greg Nerpouni at Embarcadero Technologies:

Two short months after the release of one of Embarcadero’s award winning SQL profiling and tuning IDE database tools, DB Optimizer 1.5, I am proud to announce that DB Optimizer 1.5.1 is out and available to the public. It may strike you that because the version number is only slightly revised that this is simply a maintenance release, but while the development team has done a tremendous job in fixing some key issues they have also managed to include two new and powerful features, including a brand new Load Editor and the ability to launch a tuning job remotely via the command line API.  Here I explain a bit about both of these new features:

I am excited about these new features. With the Load Editor, you can stress test SQL code, getting immediate feedback on performance via continuous profiling while you test and fine tune your SQL leveraging the DB Optimizer SQL Tuner... a unique and powerful feature that should empower developers and DBAs to ensure poor-performing code never reaches production.
